While driving, shortly after a turn, the electric motor has a fatal error resulting in complete loss of power while driving. The car has to be stopped in the middle of the road and powered down and then turned back on. This clears the fault but the problem has occurred 3 times within a month resulting in me not driving it anymore.

Vehicle lost propulsion while driving on the road. The motor (traction inverter) abruptly started to vibrate very aggressively, then the error warning "engine control error" flashed on the cluster display. The car immediately stopped responding to the gas/drive pedal and quickly coasted to a stop. After a full power-off then back on, the car woke back up like normal - as if nothing had happened. Happened twice now, each time within a few minutes of starting the car. This vehicle is not safe to drive at the moment.

Nhtsa campaign 24v732000 is a recall of 27,000 porsche taycans for high-voltage batteries may short circuit and increase risk of fire. For vehicles in porsche campaign arb6 for which online data is unavailable, owners are advised to have the recalled vehicles inspected and limit charging to 80%. In december 3, 2024, letter (attached) to uk taycan owners of taycans in arb6, in addition to limiting charge to 80%, porsche writes: “additionally, until the inspection has been completed, we would advise not to charge the vehicle under cover and or to ensure the vehicle is not parked adjacent to or under buildings. ” why is porsche’s warning to uk taycan owners in arb6 not to charge their taycans under cover and ensure the vehicle not parked adjacent to buildings not included in the arb6 notification letter to us taycan owners?

I bought this car a few weeks ago and drove only 300 miles so far. I was pulling out of my neighborhood onto the main street, when i turned then started to accelerate i received an error saying engine control error and my car came to a screeching halt. The accelerator stopped working and the car made some loud grinding noises and no functions were working. Luckily nobody was behind me. I turned off the vehicle and when i powered it back on everything is working as normal. This vehicle was just serviced at porsche a few days ago before the event

While driving my electric vehicle, i experienced a sudden loss of power. The car abruptly stopped, leaving tire marks on the street, and the steering wheel began shaking. At the same time, an error message appeared on the dashboard, indicating an engine failure and instructing me to pull over immediately for safety. Fortunately, i was driving alone that day and had chosen an alternative residential route, which allowed for slower speeds and less traffic. Had this incident occurred during my usual commute, where i typically travel at least 45 mph on a heavily trafficked three-lane road, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I am certain that the sudden loss of power in such conditions would have led to a serious accident, endangering not only myself but also other road users. The service center required a full week to duplicate the issue. While there were no prior warnings, messages, or symptoms leading up to this event on my car after researching the incident it is clear that this same instance occurred in over 10,000 like kind vehicles under nhtsa recall number 21v-486. This unexpected failure poses a significant safety risk, and i am deeply concerned about the potential for recurrence, especially in less forgiving traffic conditions.

The car once i started, it gave us a red warning that said electrical system problem. At that point, i was unable to put the car in drive or put the car in reverse. The only thing i was able to do is put the car in neutral. The car would not move. The same issue happened when i was driving with the car. It gave me the error message at which point i had to pull over on the shoulder.

While driving on the city streets, the vehicle would not accelerate properly. At a stop sign, when pressing the accelerator, the vehicle started to jerk forward slowly and would not accelerate properly. A turtle started to flash on the cluster display. Trying to get to a safe location, the vehicle kept jerking forward slowly while slowly increasing speed and flashing the turtle icon.
