Hood latch allowed hood to fly open at 30 mph, causing $3100 worth of damage to car, potentially causing serious other vehicular/occupant injuries. Apparently the latch was inadvertently engaged, but the secondary latch did not hold and let the hood fly open. This incident happened 8/2023 but was not reported to nissan and while estimate was obtained, repairs were not made.
