My 2025 kia teulluride that i bought on 10/21/2024 was sitting in my garage over night on 11/20/2024. The next morning 11/21/2024 i went to leave for work and notice a huge crack in the windshield. Goes from the driver side to about half way to the middle of the windshield
I have had been in several times to correct the recall, they noted the seat repaired under warrenty but the service advisor was stuck when retrieving my car. Headlights have need in twice and i’m being told the fix failed to correct the headlights. Wipers stop working intermittently and paint is down to bare metal along windshield and hood. This car is crap.. Rear seat folds up when sitting on it and i am repiadmy told they don’t see a problem. Seats are not electric in the rear. This has a feature of an auto close from the back for loading. And it is triggered when my kids sit in it. Only the right rear captains chair.
I was driving at on the highway at 65 mph in 60-65 degree temperatures on an open highway with minimal traffic on clean roads with no road debris. A loud explosion followed by observing through the rearview mirror shattered sunroof glass shower over the back of the car. There was no damage to the shade cover nor remainder of the roof to suggest something struck the top of the car.
The contact owns a 2024 kia telluride. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver's side rear window independently fractured. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the cause for the failure was not yet determined. The window was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,400.
Vehicle sunroof has become stuck in it’s tilted open position. The spoiler at the front has detached. Since the sunroof cannot close, if there is a wind, hitting the car, the sunroof can’t detach from the car at this point, and fly into another car. This issue has been reported with the numerous kia telluride’s as seen on the internet. It is not nearly anesthetic problem. It is a safety issue.
About a year ago the pearl white paint on my 2020 kia telluride started pealing off for no reason. The car has 80000 miles and is less than 5 years old. There should be no reason the paint is pealing already.

I was momentarily unaware of the movement and was horrified to realize it almost struck a mother and her child who were exiting the school. I urge nhtsa to look into this matter and take action as needed to ensure that kia expedites the resolution of these critical safety recalls. I am the original owner of our 2021 kia telluride and we follow the manufacturers recommendations and ensure our oil is changed every ~10k miles. Our kia was recently serviced at nationwide kia in timonium maryland in april 2024 and had the oil changed. As i was driving today, [xxx] the oil pressure warning light came on. When i pulled over, i checked the dipstick and it was below the low level. I immediately put in 5 quarts of oil and the light remains on. I contacted kia and will be taking the car in for them to assess; however, i am urging that a recall for this issue is addressed. This is a common problem that others are having as well. This could have caused significant issues as i work in the inner city of baltimore and breaking down would not be a good thing for a [xxx] please ensure kia does the right thing and issues a recall for this issue. Vehicle has pearl white paint that is peeling off the entire hood where the letters "telluride" are. Concern is future rust and issues. If vehicle rusts it can cause other issues and further rust throughout the vehicle. Appeared 11/10/2024
While driving, opened sunroof and it got off track and exploded the sunroof.
