The hood of my vehicle is raised on the upper right side. It was a small opening but now it has gotten bigger. I'm afraid that the entire hood may come off at a high speed. I also have rust spots on the top of my car close to the sunroof. I use infiniti of the palm beaches for all of my services and have reported both concerns and was told it was normal wear and tear. I have owned many cars and never had the problems that i've had with a vehicle.
In october of 2023 i was driving onto the high way and my car just started to slow down i could not accelerate that gas while i was on the highway which is very dangerous when you are on the highway. My car turn off completely the engine light started to blink. All the lights were blinking. The only thing that was on was my radio. I could not move the car i was having. Trouble putting the car into park. Everything was stuck. Good thing i was not in the middle of the highway and not on a really busy highway but it was late at night. Drivers on the high way and myself are out at risk i could not even put my hazards on. A car could have crash into me and serious injury’s could have happen. I was stuck and was having trouble putting the car in park. Could not go into neutral. For a car to come to a sudden stop not be able to put the car in park that can be a risk factor due to if the car turn back on going into neutral on its own. The car was fixed with new engine at an auto body in july or august 2024 now the engine light is on again the car will not even turn on. All the oil leaked out. Infiniti did my last oil change and said it was due at 117k which that is my current reading. When the oil all leaked out the car had a steering issue it crashed into a guardrail. That is the second time the car slow down had some type of issue is a big risk factor in august 2024 when the oil came out the car that can cause a fire and lost of steering the car crashed into rail with us in it. I did not have any warning signs about this going to happen. The car has not been driven since
I was stopped at a stop sign and pulled out into an intersection and lost power.
I received a recall notice (folded information card) from infinity in the mail in about august 2024 regarding recall nhtsa 24v-470-r24a7. I also received an email from infinity on august 28, 2024 with subject "your q50 is due for important recall repairs " and noted it stated recall code r24a7/r24a5: nhtsa 24v-470: recall description q50/q70 prop shaft. I contacted infinity to schedule the repair and received a confirmed email service appointment for october 4th 2024. When i arrived at the dealership the service department told me they did not have parts but would change my oil and do other service for a fee. All i wanted was the recall fixed. In total i've been to the dealer 3 times and been always told that they have not received parts from the manufacturer. Today i called infinity consumer affairs department at 1-800-662-6200 and spoke to "dennis". He did little but talk in circles and did nothing to provide information and when the recall would be fixed. Since i was getting no information and he was not listening or helping i told him i was ending the call and calling the nhtsa, which i did and spoke with tyronda. Confirmation number for call she gave me is [xxx] for our call. After my repeated efforts and complaints, infinity appears to have no interest on fixing the vehicle recall they first advised me of in august, only seemingly "going through the motions" as slow as possible. My car is not fixed after about 4 months and they have done nothing to contact me as to when it will be repaired. That is my complaint information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6)

Vehicle was parked in my driveway with the engine running for about 5-10 minutes while i was going into the house to turn off my alarm, then return to take out 2 of my elderly dogs; & finally to take out my other dogs. I then returned to the car, opened the driver's side front door & reached in to push the "stop" button on the dash. As soon as i did, the vehicle immediately went into reverse & pulled me down the driveway by the open door. The vehicle continued down the driveway & crossed the street, hitting a fire hydrant in my neighbor's yard across the street. I never physically got into the vehicle to do the steps required to put the vehicle into reverse, i. E. Putting my foot on the brake & depressing the transmission shift button. I contacted the dealership where i purchased the vehicle after the incident & explained what had happened. I spoke to francisco, but he said there was nothing he could do unless i wanted to pay for diagnostics on the vehicle. I explained that the vehicle had clearly malfunctioned since i was not physically inside of the vehicle to put it into reverse. I asked him to document the incident, but he said he was unable to & suggested i contact infiniti consumer affairs. I did that immediately after speaking with francisco, & gave a detailed description of the incident. I was given a case number at that time. I called another infiniti dealership to explain the situation to ask about diagnostics, & was informed that the car's computer would not give an error code for the car going into reverse. I called to speak to my dealership service advisor & was able to schedule a diagnostics appointment at no charge. I did an internet search & discovered it could be a linkage issue, which is a safety issue & the recommendation was for the vehicle to not be driven. I have since scheduled an inspection with nissan corp. But the rep was not receptive to my request for repairs. I supplied a video to the dealership, but nissan said they did not have it.
My airbags are currently disabled due to a faulty occupant detection system. I see that this was an infiniti recall on many2017 q50s, but my car is not included in the recall. The dealership confirms that my car is not part of the recall. The specific part involved in the recall is the front passenger occupant classification system (ocs), which triggers the error code being produced by my car.
The contact owns a 2019 infiniti q50. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine misfired, and the contact became aware of smoke coming from the engine compartment. The check engine and battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and turned off, there was coolant leaking underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the timing belt had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 71,500.
