Recently, i received a recall notice from honda corp. (recall #mju; nhtsa recall # 24v-744). This morning, i took the vehicle to a dealership to have the defective part(s) replaced. I was told there weren't any parts available and unsold cars in the dealership's inventory would be repaired first, or they couldn't legally be sold due to the recall. Edgar, the service rep, told me to check back in january.

The odometer gauge (shows mileage and fuel level) intermittently goes blank. Based on the honda hrv forum, it seems to be a frequent problem. I took it to the dealer, and they said the part needs to be replaced, at a cost of ~$2000. Started a few months ago and seems worse when weather is cold.
As of 11/22/2024, odometer reading little over 4k miles. Bought it brand new from honda dealership in pennsylvania. Issue: right before coming to a complete stop i. E while down shifting 20mph to 6 - 8 miles per hour, i am feeling a sudden jolt while breaks applied. It is unknown to me weather this is a engine or transmission issue but this same issue many honda hr-v owners have noticed and reported on social media. This issue is causing improper front side movement of the vehicle and causing improper break application when attempting to stop the car. This is causing a confusion and doubts while operating my car, making me feel unsafe to operate this car is a dense traffic situations. I am going to request as many car owners as possible to report this issue as they are facing the same issue but yet to report it to nhtsa. P. S honda dealerships are charging $299 diagnostic fees which is not right. Authorities must address this issue with honda with a mass recall to ensure people's safety. Thanks.
Upright seat back locks have often failed to lock upon adjustment of seat back on many occasions and since the vehicle was new. Honda “repaired” the driver seat, when the car was originally purchased, however refused to fix the passenger seat back lock. Their explanation was they checked other cars and they were all like that, which means they were all defective. Now have to pay to have drivers seat repaired due to this ongoing problem.
I have had several issues happen where the battery will drain quickly if the doors are open for 40 minutes. One time recently happened last week when i was trying to take my wife to the hospital for a back pain issue. I tried to get her into the vehicle but the pain was too great so we called the paramedics to come and take her instead. Once they arrived and removed her from the vehicle, i went to start the vehicle and it wouldn't start. You could hear a repetitive fast clicking from the dash and a pulsing of the dash lights but no attempt of the engine to start.
Recall number: 24v-744 honda campaign number: mju service bulletin number: 24-118 i received the recall notice today and immediately contacted the dealership. I was told that it would be august before they would be able to fix it. They don't have the part and don't know when they will be getting the part. This is well beyond the 60-day requirement stated in the bulletin, so i am lodging a complaint as the bulletin instructed.
