On december 4th, 2024, i was driving my blazer up to our local museum to grab some information. The museum is about a mile and a half from my house. When i had left my house, the car was driving like normal. I pulled into a parking spot at the musuem, and i went to shut the vehicle off, and i thought maybe the check engine light had come on but wasn't completely paying attention to the dash. About 10 minutes later i went to restart the vehicle to leave and i noticed the check engine light on. Since the vehicle seemed to be driving okay i thought i could make it home and check the car's computer to see what the issue was. As i was leaving the parking lot i stopped at the end of the parking lot to look before pulling out onto the road and the blazer said shift to neutral and restart the vehicle. When i did that the vehicle would not start. It would just crank and crank and then it would finally start for a few seconds. I was going to back my vehicle up out of the road but each time i would try the car would die. I am very thankful this did not happen on the highway or even on the freeway. A friend and myself had to push my vehicle back into a parking spot. The dtc code is a p023f. When this happens, you can't technically shift the vehicle into neutral to push it out of the way because the car has to be running to shift. I was able to force it into neutral, however. I made an appointment with awesome chevrolet in chehalis wa and had to have it towed to the dealer. They stated it was the fuel pump module. I had at that time 18,388 miles on the odometer. Unfortunately, i no longer feel safe with this vehicle in case it happens again. Where i am hours from home or on a 2-lane road or freeway. The fuel pump module failure appears to be a known issue with gm vehicles. The fuel pump module was replaced and was able to be replaced under warranty. I hope that it does not happen again.

Shift to park message coming up on dash screen eventhough shifter was in park. Engine would not turn off. Had to shift several times for vehicle to recognize park. There was a recall on some 2019 chevy blazers and a technical service bulletin issued, but my vin number is not on the recall list. The current mileage is 37752. I bought the vehicle new. Dealership relaced shifter control at a cost to me of $553. 60. If there is a safety issue, should a recall cover all?

When the vehicle is in park and you try to turn it off with the start/stop button an on dash error code of ‘shift to park’ appears even though the vehicle is clearly in park. You are not able to turn the vehicle off. This currently is forcing me to restart the engine, put my car in reverse, shift back in drive, try re-parking and turning it off again, repeating the process until it eventually turns off. I do not know if my car is truly in gear or not. I’m afraid that it might cause a dangerous situation. Gm has already identified this recall for other vins of 2019 chevy blazers i believe it should be extended to additional vins.

I recently stopped at a local store and put the car in park. A message appeared on the dash shift to park. I was not able to turn the car off and i had to move the gear shift back and forth until the message went off. I couldn't lock the car correctly by moving away from it. I used the key fob to eventually lock the the car. My concern is that if my wife is driving, she may not be able to lock or move the vehicle. This seems very unsafe. Should this be brought to the attention of the local chevrolet dealer?

I was driving down the highway at 70mph using the adaptive cruise control. There was nobody in front of me, and suddenly the vehicle started picking up speed. I looked at the cruise control and it said 115mph, so i hit the brakes to override it and slow down. When i reset it for , ~70mph again it worked fine. This happened to me two other times with the same basic scenario. The speed is always over 100mph, and it always occurs when the adaptive cruise control has been in use for at least 30 minutes. I have an appt with the dealer that i bought it from to have it looked at. No warning lights and no other symptoms.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that the gear shifter had repeatedly become loosened, causing the gear shifter to move in a circular motion while in park(p). The contact stated that the "shift to park" message was displayed while the vehicle was in park(p). The contact repeatedly struck the back of the gear shifter while in park(p) to correct the failure. The gear shifter had been replaced on four separate occasions. The contact stated that the first three failures were repaired under warranty; however, the contact recently had to pay out of pocket for the last repair. The contact stated that the failure had returned. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

Shift into park warning when turning vehicle off even though vehicle is in park.

When i put my car into park and go to shut the car off if starts saying put car in park even tho it is already in park. It will not allow me to fully shut car off when it says that. I usually have to put it back into drive and back into park again for it to register.

When i parked and tried to turn off car it would continue to run. I had to put it in park and drive back to park several times before car would turn off. There’s a recall for this issue on other blazers and i feel 2020 blazers should be included. The dealer replaced the shifter assembly, cleared otc

When placing the vehicle into park there is often a issue with the sensor recognizing that the vehicle stating that it is not when attempting to power off the vehicle. When stopping there are times that the vehicle is difficult to stop and there is not fault code as to what may be occurring.
